Greenberg's Guide to Lionel Trains: 1906-1942, First Edition, 1976. By Bruce C Greenberg.  8.5 x 11". Soft Cover.  Very Good. ISBN: . First Greenberg Guide to Lionel Trains. The book was printed on an A.B. Dick 360 printing press in the author's basement. The text was set with an IBM Executive Typewriter. The images are reproduced from Lionel catalogues. The book was either stapled or held together with brass pins. The press run was 500 copies and three different covers were used. Yellow cover,  No. 504a, $59.95.  White cover, No. 504b, $59.95.  Blue cover, No. 504c, $59.95.

Greenberg's Guide to Lionel Trains: 1906-1942. Second Edition, 1977. By Bruce C Greenberg.   8.5 x 11". Soft Cover. Lionel Hudson on cover. Very Good. ISBN: 0-517529-866. . The book was professionally printed and bound. The text was set with an IBM Executive Typewriter. The images are reproduced from Lionel catalogues with color reproductions of some images. The book was printed in a first printing of 10,000 copies with half sold by Greenberg Publishing and half sold by Crown Publishers. There was a second printing, probably 7,500 copies.  No. 504d, $49.95

Hard or Soft Cover.  ISBN: 0-89778-088-4.  This book includes 2-7/8 gauge and 00 production for the first time. The Lionel 381 graced the cover. The book was professionally printed and bound. The text was set with an Compugraphics Typesetter. The book's color plates are from color photographs of actual Lionel trains. The 154 page book was published in a hard cover edition of 2,000 and a soft cover edition of 8,000. Hard cover, No. 6070HB, $59.95.  Soft cover, No. 6070, $39.95.

Greenberg's Guide to Lionel Trains: 1901-1942, Fourth Edition, 1983. By Bruce C Greenberg. 8.5 x 11". Hard Cover.  Cover illustration is from Lionel 1929 catalogue showing the 381 and 390 locomotives. Very Good condition.. ISBN: 0-89778-502-9.  This book includes a new essay "Four Vital Concepts in Understanding Lionel Toy Trains" as well as Lionel Prewar paper for the first time. The book was published in a hard cover edition of 8,000 with 199 pages. No. 6410, $59.95

Greenberg's Guide to Lionel Trains: 1901-1942 Vol. I. Fifth Edition, 1988.  By Bruce C Greenberg.  8.5 x 11". Hard Cover.  Very Good condition. ISBN: 0-89778-069-X.  For this edition, Lionel Prewar trains were divided into two volumes: Volume I contains Standard Gauge, 00 Gauge and a new chapter on Catalogued Sets. Volume II contains 0 and 027 production, accessories, catalogues and paper. Many new color photographs were added. Volume I was published in a hardback edition of 7,500 with 128 pages. Volume II was published in a hardback edition of 10,000 with 152 pages. Vol 1, only, No. 10-7075, $69.95

Harry C. Grant: Co-founder and Inventor, Lionel Manufacturing Company by Jan Athey. This book tells the story of Lionel Cowen’s partner Harry Grant.  Grant’s very important contribution to Lionel’s development were unknown previously.  Grant’s contributions were essential to Lionel’s development. Meticulous research including reproduction of key source documents including the original Lionel incorporation papers (1900),  papers dissolving the original corporation (1913), and patent inventions by Harry Grant.  Also included are personal documents of Harry Grant including marriage certificate, application for a Social Security account, and death certificate.
