Full color reproduction.  Features GG1 with three Madison cars, 726 Berkshire with three Madison cars, new New York Central F3 and Santa Fe F3 diesels with deluxe freight cars.  Great accessories including 97 electric coal elevator, 164 electric log loader, 182 triple action magnet crane and 313 bascule bridge.Lower 1/2 inch of corner of catalogue was bent and distorted by shrink wrap packaging. However the catalogue is still useful.  No. 9011, $9.95.

Lionel 1950 Catalogue Reproduction. Full color reproduction. The glorious trains of 1950 for Lionel's 50th Anniversary. Lionel reintroduced its scale model Hudson locomotive with three Madison cars.  The Santa Fe and New York Central diesels reappear with deluxe freight cars.   The Santa Fe is shown as it was actually made, not as the paint sample shown in the 1949 catalogue. And Lionel offered a Scout Train with die-cast locomotive for only $14.95.  Lower 1/2 inch of corner of catalogue was bent and distorted by shrink wrap packaging. Greenberg's Guide to Lionel Trains: 1945-69. By Bruce C Greenberg, 1984. 5th Edition. 8.5 x 11".  Western Pacific on cover.   ISBN: 0-89778-021-3.  In addition to a comprehensive analysis of motive power and rolling stock, this edition contains as special features, an in depth analysis of the Lionel Berkshires and Lionel Steam Turbines.  It also includes a list of Lionel Lionel Postwar Paper, Lionel Billboards.


The Greenberg Lionel Postwar Series, which started in 1977, included Lionel production up to the year of production. In the 1984 edition, the Publisher divided Lionel production into two books: 1945-1969 and 1970-1984. The 1945-69 soft cover press run was about 12,000. The 1945-1969 hard cover run was 20 books. Pages 6 through 168  reproduce Lionel's classic Handbook for Model Engineers (1940).  This timeless book includes planning the layout, layout suggestions, layout plans, tables and benches, cuts and fills, trackwork and ballast and much more.  It is beautifully illustrated.    The book also includes 71 pages of Lionel instruction sheets.  Operating 0 & 027 Trains was published in 1976.
